The control panel came complete with all the buttons and joys. They were actually pretty new and had very little signs of use. The panel is metal and was painted flat black. I used a wire brush attachment on a drill to "grind" it down to the metal. It actually looks kind of cool with a metal finish. Kind of like swirly spun aluminum.

 

I almost left it like that, but it just wouldn't be an official MAME cabinet without the official BLACK MARBLE contact paper. I had to get some.
